Nature of Work

In addition to general office tasks, the position will assist the USG eCampus Marketing and department with the creation of written content and visuals for print and online publications including but not limited to: promotional brochures, infographics, social media posts, and blog articles. Assists with organization of promotional items on hand and mailings to partner institutions.

Required Qualifications

- Strong digital communication skills, experience with social media
- Strong creative writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be a team player, willing to learn new things, and explore solutions to problems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in an online course is a plus
- Knowledge of and Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign)
- Blogging experience, writing for the web
- Some experience in graphic design preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Position is located in College of Education building. Must be willing to run errands on campus as needed and manage inventory of promotional materials, including lifting/organizing boxes.

Student Assistant II positions perform above-average duties of a complex nature requiring prior knowledge, skill, or training. Student Assistant II positions may be physically demanding and the work may be performed under difficult conditions. Students in these positions most often work with little to no supervision. This classification may be used while training for a higher level.

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.
