Nature of Work

The field maintenance worker will be responsible for lining off the field before games and during the games as needed.

Worker will also prepare fields for games and practices and ensure that the teams have the equipment needed for games and practices. Line off fields before games. Ensure all equipment is on field and in working order prior to game starting.

Ensure that all teams and coaches have everything they need during the games. Assist any employee of the department as needed. Maintain work area and fields.

Ten hours per week, mainly in the evening and Saturday morning till around 2 or so.

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible for FWS.
Must have and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Must have dependable transportation.
Must pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic sports knowledge.

Student Assistant II positions perform above-average duties of a complex nature requiring prior knowledge, skill, or training. Student Assistant II positions may be physically demanding and the work may be performed under difficult conditions. Students in these positions most often work with little to no supervision. This classification may be used while training for a higher level. This position does require the candidate to have Federal Work Study.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.
