A Radio Lab Supervisor/WOLF Staff Member will be responsible for assisting students enrolled in COMM 3351-Radio Program Production and COMM 4421-Radio Practicum in the production of course assignments, and building news content with volunteers at The WOLF. This person will also lead The WOLF’s training program. They will be in charge of organizing students weekly lessons and ensuring students are completing tasks and the program.

Required Qualifications

Student must have completed ALL of the following courses: Introduction to Mass Communications – COMM-1154, Media Ethics – COMM-2254, and Radio Program Production – COMM-3351.

Student must have a 2.0 GPA.

Preferred Qualifications

Social Media and/or broadcast equipment knowledge

Assist Radio Program Production – COMM-3351 students on various class projects.
Ensure radio lab is organized and students are following all lab rules.
Ensure all computers are operating correctly and if not, email the professor over the radio course.

Work with General Manager and Operations Manager of The WOLF to ensure assigned duties are completed.
• Setups and maintains course schedules and which students go to which training course
• Ensure training facilities are available and ready for students
• Prepare all Directors and Coordinators for their respective training roles for the various weeks.
• Train new team members to assist in training all new students
• Place all WITs on a show to shadow or work depending on host.
• Ensure accurate attendance for shows or remotes.
• Ensure students are completing WIT checklist
• Schedule students for remotes and ensure remote coordinator or other remote leader is aware of who will be at what remote and when.
• Must maintain accurate attendance
• Must ensure students are tracked for Most Improved WIT award at the end of each semester
• Works with Operations Manager and Program Director to make changes to WIT Program.
