Manages the Ingram Library Business Operations related to recruitment, orientation, and professional development of a workforce composed of 40 library employees (19 faculty and 21 staff), between 45-50 students, and 2-3 part-time instructors. Coordinates processes for faculty and staff searches. Assists with budget analysis to support new positions and works with HR to classify positions. Serves as a liaison with Academic Affairs, HR, Career Services, and Student Employment Services in support of hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, recognition, corrective, and exit processes. Supervises students. Provides administrative support to Library’s Dean and Associate Dean. May assist with managing foundation budget.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Two to four years of progressive experience in human resources, business operations or related field. Experience supporting an upper level of management would be considered as well.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) products. Excellent oral and written skills, time management, organizational skills, and expert computer skills. Experience with procedures related to hiring, and exit processes. Ability to work independently and effectively with others, make independent judgments and procedural decisions, maintain confidentially, and advise in the solving of common and unusual problems. This position will have purchase responsibilities therefore will require a background check to include a credit check.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources. Experience working in higher education. Knowledge of FERPA regulations. Prior experience with UWG budget, personnel policies, and procedures. Experience working in higher education, including hiring and managing student workers.

Salary $19.18/hrly (minimum) to $25.07/hrly (midpoint)
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Long periods of sitting in a normal office environment. This position will have purchase responsibilities therefore will require a background check to include a credit check.
