Nature of Work

The ideal Admissions Transfer Student Leader position would be committed to delivering an amazing first impression to all prospective transfer students, their families, as well as to faculty, and staff.

In this role the Transfer Student Leader will provide that first impression by both serving as one of our Transfer Tuesday Tour Guides and also through exemplary customer service through in person, email, and phone interactions. Additionally, this position will help with daily operations of the Transfer Admissions group by prepping for the tour and other processing of paperwork using our admissions database.

Required Qualifications

Must be a transfer student to UWG.

Minimum Shift Requirements:
1. Tuesdays from 10:00am-2:00pm

Minimum Criteria for Applying:
1. Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
2. Availability to work all of your shifts as outlined above.
3. Ability to attend 3 extra Admissions Events (Preview Days) that occur on Sundays.
5. Be enrolled as a full time student.
6. Attend mandatory interview (on campus) and training sessions (if selected).

Minimum Expectations for Student Leaders:
1. Arrive on time for your shift.
2. Be prepared during each shift to complete all necessary tasks.
3. Look polished and professional by adhering to the dress code.
*Student Leaders must adhere to a three strike policy. Failure to fulfill any of the above expectations (tardiness, conduct, missed training session, etc.) will result in a strike. Student Leaders with three strikes will not be asked to return.

Student Assistant II positions may be physically demanding and the work may be performed under difficult conditions. Students in these positions most often work with little to no supervision. This classification may be used while training for a higher level.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.
