Nature of Work

The student will be assisting with duties and responsibilities associated with running the Innovations Lab. This includes being available at the front desk to assist visitors with checking in/out equipment, helping visitors with using technology in the lab, receiving calls/messages, assisting the lab director with training/demonstrations and supervising the lab when the director is away.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current UWG student enrolled in 6 or more credit hours maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

- Comfortable assisting faculty, staff, and students with using the lab.
- Interest in learning about, using, and assisting others with new innovative technology
- Interest in and/or experience with STEM education

FWS Student Assistant I positions include standard, routine duties which require minimal prior training or experience. Most often, FWS Student Assistant I positions work with other students and are frequently supervised. This position does require the candidate to have Federal Work Study.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.
