Nature of Work

The hourly rate is $10 and each student is anticipated to work approximately 6 hours a week tutoring UTeach students in the STEM fusion center. Three tutors are needed: one with background in math, one with background in biology and one with background in chemistry.

Required Qualifications

The math tutor must have passed MATH 2644 and MATH 3003 with a B or higher. The biology tutor must have passed BIOL 3134 with a B or higher. The chemistry tutor must have passed CHEM 3422 with a B or higher.

Student Assistant II positions perform above-average duties of a complex nature requiring prior knowledge, skill, or training. Student Assistant II positions may be physically demanding and the work may be performed under difficult conditions. Students in these positions most often work with little to no supervision. This classification may be used while training for a higher level.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.
