Nature of Work

The student will provide critical support for a variety of tasks related to the Center for Public History’s University History Project, to include conducting research and writing for history exhibits and other interpretive projects; offering program planning and support; filing and organizing administrative records; disseminating promotional materials on campus or via mail and other office management tasks as needed. Student may be required to assist with and/or attend special programs, events, or research trips either on campus or in the field. Student will be required to attend weekly staff meetings.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2.5 Overall GPA
Strong writing and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

History or Anthropology preferred but also will accept other Humanities majors/minors.
Research and writing experience
Office experience, including word processing and general organizational skills.
Public service skills and experience and website building and management skills desired.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Light lifting of archival boxes and materials, but will make accommodations.
